health coach Melissa Scheichl Choosing Health

hi about me

Do you know that feeling when you find out something really great and you just HAVE to share it with everyone you know?  Well that’s exactly how I ended up as a health coach!  I have spent the past ten years educating myself and making conscious choices for the health of myself and my family and I want to share everything I have learned with you!

It starts with a compliment…  A mom on the playground telling my friend and I how lucky we were to be so fit and healthy.  I didn’t think much of it until later my friend said that she didn’t appreciate the compliment at all.

Lucky?!!  she exclaimed.  We aren’t lucky!  We work HARD to look like this!  It’s NOT LUCK, IT’S A CHOICE!

And she is right.  I make choices every day that affect my health.  It is work.  It isn’t always easy…but it’s worth it!  And over the years I have recognized that it can be difficult for people to know where to start and what to do and how to stay on track with the health choices they make…so I decided to help!

I have always been interested in working to help others and have dedicated my studies and work to teaching, counseling and advocating for better health.

By collecting information from you regarding your background, history, lifestyle and health or emotional concerns, I will be able to create a customized program just for you.  I will give you the tools you need to feel better.

How can I be so sure?  Long story short, I have experienced trauma and pain in my life.  I have been through many of the same issues that my clients present including difficulty with sleep, biochemical issues, anxiety and emotional stress.  I have experienced severe adrenal fatigue after almost losing my daughter.  I know what it is like to feel alone and afraid and unsure of what to do to regain control of my health and well being.  I have dealt with physical injuries and healed broken bones and rehabilitated my body back to health with yoga therapy.  I gained over 90 lbs with my pregnancies and have successfully brought my body back into shape. I have suffered from a broken heart and dealt with grief from losses that felt unbearable.

I am so passionate about sharing the tools that I found that were so successful for me, that I have devoted the past ten years to additional studies and training in psychotherapy, yoga, yoga therapy, food allergy and anaphylaxis and nutrition. I want to be your personal health coach and to share my passion for healthy living with you!
