Someone you can talk to…

Hello! If you’re reading this page, chances are things have gotten to a point where you need something different in your life. The definition of insanity is doing the same things and expecting different results.

Perhaps someone has told you that you should see someone (a friend, partner, your doctor, etc)… or maybe you’ve heard from others that therapy can be helpful and want to see for yourself. Whatever the reason, I’m excited as I passionately believe in the value of therapy for well-being.

my values

  • I am dedicated to life-long learning and am continuously developing myself both professionally and personally to be the best that I can be for my clients.

  • I truly care for my clients and I take pride in that. This means that I am open and available to discuss whatever it is you need. I want to be the best support and help to you that I can. If what you are asking for is not something I can provide, I will do my best to refer you to someone who can help.

  • I believe it was my ability to continue to hope that pulled me through the most challenging times in my life. I believe in my clients and their abilities. You are worthy, loveable and capable of having the life you desire. I have no doubts about that!

How I can help you…

Life can be challenging. When something throws us for a loop, our usual coping strategies may not be enough and we find ourselves feeling lost, afraid or unsure of what to do & how to manage. Psychotherapy and clinical counselling can help you regain your bearings and cultivate novel coping strategies to get you back on your feet. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I also offer this valuable therapy for healing from trauma and distressing experiences.

MY SPECIALTIES

  • Anxiety is what brings most people to my office. It's the "What ifs" - the future thinking - the uncertainty - the worrying. Enough is enough. Let's work together to put a stop to your anxious thoughts.

  • Learn how to regulate your emotions, tolerate distress, handle crises, and navigate interpersonal relationships by cultivating your very own toolbox of coping skills. You've got this.

  • Depression robs a person of their vitality. When you don't have the strength, the energy or the will to do daily life, we can work together to make things better.

  • Trauma is what you experienced when something horrible happened. Despite your attempts to let it go, it can remain stuck inside of you. As an EMDR-trained therapist, I offer this valuable, proven therapy for healing from trauma and distressing experiences.

  • We dream of happily ever after with the person we love but the reality can be far from it... It doesn't have to be this way. Couples counselling using the Gottman Method offers renewed hope for you and your partner.

  • You never imagined a loss of this magnitude. Grief rocks our world. I offer a supportive ear and comfort so you do not have to be alone with your grief.

"Realize that you are not alone, that we are in this together, and most importantly that there is hope.” -- Deepika Padukone
